SageTV

I am really passionate about home theater solutions to the point that my whole house is CAT6 wired in order to distribute any kind of digital media using the awesome SageTV DVR (now Google Fiber) interface and powered by a dedicated server room.

I built a home cinema room complete of the projector, ceiling sound system and motorised 120" screen for unforgettable happy moments with my family.

I am an active member of the SageTV community and I have used my knowledge in video broadcast and embedded system to develop open source software plugins dedicated to the SageTV platform:

• Squeezeslave the Logitech Squeezebox music player is now running on the whole family of SageTV's STB: MediaMVP (PPC), HD100 (ARM), HD200 (MIPS), HD300 (MIPS) which are built on Linux 2.4 & 2.6, along with patching the tool-chain and implementing the OSS device drivers.


• DVB Decrypter & Card Client a Windows DirectShow transform filter that inserted in the SageTV filter graph is able to decode encrypted DVB transport stream directly into the SageTV DVR engine regardless the DVB standard being used. The filter is also able to connect, via MD5 & SSL protocol, to an OsCAM card server retrieving the required control word from a legitimate Pay-TV card.


• DVB-S Importer a very handy HTML data scraper that is able to analyse DVB tuning information from popular satellite website providers creating and keeping up-to-date the data files SageTV is using to tune into TV channels. No more missed recording because of satellite data changes, guaranteed ;-).
